Publishing Frequency
The Journal of Computing & Biomedical Informatics (JCBI) follows a quarterly publication schedule to ensure the regular and timely dissemination of high-quality research in the fields of computing, artificial intelligence, biomedical informatics, and related interdisciplinary areas.
The journal publishes two volumes each year, with each volume consisting of two issues, resulting in a total of four issues annually. Issues are released according to the following schedule each year:
-
March
-
June
-
September
-
December
This structured schedule enables the journal to maintain a consistent publication cycle while ensuring sufficient time for a rigorous peer-review and editorial process.
Online First Publication
To facilitate the rapid dissemination of research findings, JCBI offers an “Online First” publication option. Under this model, manuscripts that have successfully completed the peer-review and editorial process are published online prior to their assignment to a specific issue.
Articles published through the Online First system are fully peer-reviewed, copyedited, and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), allowing them to be cited immediately by the research community. These articles are subsequently included in the next available scheduled issue.
Commitment to Timely Publication
The Journal of Computing & Biomedical Informatics is committed to maintaining a transparent and reliable publication timeline, ensuring that all accepted manuscripts are published according to the journal’s scheduled issues while upholding the highest standards of academic quality and editorial integrity.
